Sheriff

Sheriff joined the group in May 2013. He is a lovely chocolate Labrador and started his training with Geoff and Rose. He is a lively lad, very affectionate, full of fun and is beginning to calm down.

He loves to play ball with other dogs but does seem to 'run out of steam' before they do and has to lie down for a rest, while the other dogs play on! As well as enjoying being out and about, Sheriff loves being in the garden with Joan. He will play for a while and then relaxes in the sun.

He is now living with Joan (on the mainland) but will return to the Island at the end of May for further training.

Currently Joan is working with Sheriff to improve his lead walking. He is using a harness and this has helped calm him. His body language is now relaxed and he demonstrates this well when shopping in Asda and Bet Fred's. He will sit and wait patiently as required. This is quite an achievement.
